日本語Dear Santa and Friend volunteers,
Once again, we have an opportunity to support the greater Nagoya-city area through our participation in the annual Nagoya Walkathon, which will be held on Sunday, May 17th at Morikoro Park. This activity has been ongoing for more than 20 years and has raised close to $1,000,000.00 for local, regional and national charities.
Santa and Friends, which prides itself in working with the less fortunate children in Nagoya, has participated in the children's activities portion of this event for the past several years. The experience is very enjoyable and rewarding for all participants.
Our activity has been a "hockey shootout". We provide children with an opportunity to learn a little about, and experience, Canada's national sport of hockey. The event has been very well received every year.
n order to facilitate this activity we need at least 25 SFN volunteers. The volunteers will be divided into teams of 5 (or more) and the teams will be responsible for: setting up the activity (from about 8:00-noon); conducting the activity (12:00-4:00) and taking down the activity and cleaning up our area. The team concept allows everyone time to support and participate in our activity while also having time to enjoy the many other activities presented that day.
The team times will be as follows:

At the end, we need some volunteers to help take the activity apart, clean up our space and transport the materials out of the gymnasium to a vehicle.

SFNのみなさんへ
先日のマンスリーミーティングでも触れましたが、改めてみなさんに、５月17日（日）にモリコロパークにて開催される、毎年恒例の名古屋ウォーカソンについて連絡いたします。この活動は20年以上の歴史があり、これまで地元の方や地方・全国のチャリティー団体へ、約1億円にも上る寄付が集まっています。
名古屋の恵まれない子供たちを支援しているSFNも、過去何年かに渡って、子供たちへのアクティビティの一部を担当してきました。子供たちにとっても、ボランティアにとっても、とても楽しく、やりがいのあるものです。
私たちは毎年「ホッケーシュート」を出しており、子供たちに、カナダの国民的スポーツであるホッケーについて学び、経験する機会を提供しています。お蔭様で、毎年好評いただいています。
今年もこの活動をするために、最低でも25名のSFNボランティアメンバーのご協力が必要です。みなさんには、5つ（もしくはそれ以上）のチームにわかれ、時間帯ごと担当していただきます。各時間帯の役割として、出し物のセットアップ（8時～12時）、アクティビティの実施（12時～16時）、解体作業と私たちのエリアの片づけがあります。チームごと担当することにより、出し物をスムーズに運営しつつ、ボランティアのみなさんに、他のアクティビティを楽しんでいただくことも可能となります。
チームと担当時間帯は以下の通りです。

最後に、使ったスペースの掃除片付けと、体育館から車へ道具を移動させる際にも、数名のボランティアが必要です。
